Kevin Duncan Named Director of Sales & Marketing

DENVER, CO (March 5, 2009) – The Denver Marriott South hotel is pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Duncan as director of sales & marketing to its leadership team.  Duncan joins the team to oversee the day-to-day operations of sales department while maintaining focus on the hotel’s strategic goals.

“Kevin’s extensive experience in sales and marketing coupled with his intimate knowledge of the greater Denver market makes him a tremendous asset to the hotel and the community,” stated General Manager Brian Lenfestey.  “We welcome his leadership to this great team.”

Duncan joins the Denver Marriott South from his most recent position as Senior Sales Manager – Rocky Mountain Sales Office for Marriott International.  He oversaw sales efforts for 23 Marriott properties in three different regions, mentoring and training newly hired managers.  Additionally, he has led a distinct career in various positions with Marriott International – from assistant director to revenue manager for the Denver market as well as sales manager for the Colorado event booking center – Duncan has a history of solid performance.  He began his career in hospitality as the lead catering houseman for the Salt Lake City Marriott.
