WHITE LODGING HONORS OUTSTANDING HOTEL LEADERS & TEAMS AT
ANNUAL GENERAL MANAGER’S AWARDS CEREMONY

MERRILLVILLE, IN (April 21, 2009) – More than 140 hotel general managers from all across the United States gathered at the Radisson Hotel in Merrillville, IN to honor outstanding individuals as part of White Lodging’s annual General Manager’s Conference.

Held in conjunction with the company’s three-day conference, the ceremony celebrates top leaders and individuals at all levels of hotel operations for their contributions and achievements.

Top achievers this year included Michael Howerton, general manager of the Louisville Marriott Downtown, KY who was named White Lodging’s “General Manager of the Year” in addition to the hotel being named “Hotel of the Year.”  Other awards announced at the reception:

• Chad Cuddy of the Marriott Boulder in Colorado was named General Manager of the Year – Full Service
• Matthew Hofmann of the Courtyard Longmont named General Manager of the Year – Select Service
• Kimberly Gagnon Residence Inn Austin South named General Manager of the Year – Extended Stay
• Courtyard Lakewood, Colorado named select service property of the year
• Residence Inn San Antonio Downtown named extended stay property of the year
