However, the Distillery’s manufacturing set-up and access to necessary materials provides an opportunity for small-scale production of hand sanitizer, a product that is in short supply nationwide and an integral weapon in the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19).
“In times of need, communities must come together, and this is the right thing do for our neighbors,” says Stephen Julander, Head Distiller at Brush Creek Distillery. “We’ve halted production of all spirits and have transferred all operations to this community partnership and helping keep the people of Carbon County safe during this pandemic.”
Production and distribution began this week with approximately 1,000 eight-ounce bottles and additional bulk quantities distributed free to the local community. The distillery has been working with Carbon County first responders, medical clinics, and hospitals to identify the largest needs with the greatest benefit. Distribution will begin later this week.
This summer will mark Brush Creek Distillery’s initial launch of its spirits line, including a Straight Bourbon, Straight Rye, New American Gin, and Vodka. The distillery instills the pioneering essence of the Wild West into its spirits by marrying age-old, true-to-life stories with flavors from the land. Each batch is handcrafted and expertly made locally, where we utilize the freshest and local ingredients unique to the West.
